What's New at Diamond J Veterinary Services...
New Haul-In Location and boarding facility
2009 brings about a lot of change for Diamond J Veterinary Services and what services we provide. We now have a haul-in location for the convenience of our large animal clients. Many of our clients from the outlying areas of Payson haul their horses regularly and have looked forward to being able to bring their horse(s) to Dr. Justice for their veterinary services. Our new haul-in location is at 379 Valley Rd. in Star Valley, AZ at a current boarding facility. Diamond J Veterinary Services will also continue to board horses at that location.
Equine Acupuncture Service
Ken Crump joins his son-in-law and daughter at Diamond J Veterinary Services to apply his knowledge of pain management and acupuncture. All over the world, people and their animals are successfully treated with acupuncture. In the United States, acupuncture is considered part of complementary and alternative medicine (CAM). Acupuncture can be effective alone, or it can be used to support other forms of medical treatment. At Diamond J Veterinary Services, acupuncture is used as a medical tool to support the healing effects of conventional medical therapy. Acupuncture treatments can be given at the same time other techniques are being used. So, when you have received a diagnosis from Dr Justice, you may wish to ask if acupuncture might help.

Ken Crump graduated from Bel Rea Institute of Animal Technology in Colorado in 1981 and joined the Oncology Unit at Colorado State University, where he specialized in anesthesia. In 1988 he joined the Anesthesia Section at the CSU Veterinary Teaching Hospital. After 10 years with the Anesthesia Section, he joined the Clinical Oncology Service of the CSU Animal Cancer Center as its Head Technician. Ken has authored many scientific abstracts and articles, and made dozens of Continuing Education presentations across the United States and in Canada. He has moderated message boards for Oncology, and Complementary and Alternative Veterinary Medicine for the online Veterinary Support Personnel Network (VSPN). His professional memberships have included the International Veterinary Academy of Pain Management, past-president of the Veterinary Technician Cancer Society, and the Veterinary Technician Anesthetist Society.
